Story Of How I Got A Spot For WRAR Radio Station In Tappahannock, VA!!:-)‏ Live Recording:-)

Hello LBB Consultants And Friends!!
I thought I share on what I'm doing in my town.:-)

Everytime I listen to the radio, I hear all these commercials.. As I was cleaning my house and listening to music, a light bulb went on in my head:-) Brilliant  idea!!:-) Why don't I advertise my La Bella Baskets Business on the radio.:-) People listen to the radio all the time  everyday in their car or at work and so I emailed my radio station and asked about the cost for advertising over the radio. So the lady emailed me back and said she was willing to work with my budget, so we talked over the phone and came up with a great budget plan every month for my ad.:-) She said $60 every monday and 2 free commercials, so I said I can do that. Than I told her about the gift baskets and business over the phone and she put together a script with as much info she could and now it's recorded and going to be aired starting this monday march 4th 2011:-) Than I sent my payment in with 3 brochures, business cards, and magnets:-)

So now I'm live on WRAR Radio in my town of Tappahannock, va:-)
I attached my recording on to the email:-) Turn Your Speakers Up!!:-)
Hope I have inspired someone to do this:-)

Wanted to share!!:-)
So excited about this!!
Wish me luck!!:-)

Have a Beautiful Day!!

Networking

The dreaded "N" word. This has nothing to do with multi level marketing. It
is all about who you know and what you know.
Networking is the exchange of information of service among individuals, groups, or institutions.  Networking can be as simple as having lunch with a friend who is well connected in business community who may give your name of a few potential customers to contact, to a more formal, organized networking group.
There are a number of organizations active in North America that you can look into getting involved.

When you network, you invariably make potential business/client contacts. So
do it wholeheartedly. Don't just join a group  but participate in them. Join the email
lists. Advertise. Donate time, products, services, etc. Make yourself
visible enough within the group that your networking is accomplishing
something. The contacts will be invaluable. And you never know who you will
meet who either is just now looking for gifts like you sell or knows someone
who is.

It's a new year and all of us are ready for a fresh, new start. Make an
effort to utilize these suggestions in the way most appropriate for your
business. Sell more gifts by working to sell more gifts.

Networking is similar to marketing on forums, but you will find networking to be more targeted than forums.

You will also have more tools available to help you promote, like blogs, press release posts, and article posting. These sites will also often allow you to use classified advertising to promote your products and services.

The side benefit of networking is that it allows you to improve your search engine rankings through content creation, and it increases the number of entries you have in the search engines, raising your rankings.

Belonging to this type of organization can generate good business for you.  If you do not have a networking organization already in place in your community, you may want to consider starting one.

Selling to corporations can be some of your most profitable business.  Most businesses need gifts on a regular basis, not just during the holiday season.  Many companies recognize employee anniversaries, birthdays, promotions, retirements, thank-yous, out-of-town visitors, and guest speakers during the year.  Most businesses do not have the time or personnel to devote to shopping.  Forming a good relationship with a gift company can solve all of their gift-giving dilemmas.

Personal Growth

Only when you grow, everything around you grows.

People keep  asking me the secret to my success.  Yes, hard work, consistency and determination had alot to do with my success but what really made me move to new levels was personal development.

I'll never forget the day that I truly understood what I needed to do if I wanted my business to move forward and reach new levels.

I received  an email that stated "Only when a leader changes develops and grows, so does their business."   That sentence changed my life.    I truly desired to grow my business and  I desperately wanted to  create a fabulous lifestyle for my children.   However, how could I possibly  grow a business  if I wasn't developing me as a leader!   From that day on, I made a commitment to work on personal growth.  I went to work on me.  I immersed myself in this new strategy.

Everyday, I  began reading books that empowered me. Books that educated me about this industry.   I started working on growing mentally.  I was programming my mind to succeed.   I would spend 20-30 minutes reading a book or listening to audio calls.  Book by book, audio by audio,  I began feeding good things in and then good things started  pouring  out  and success started coming my way.

I truly believe that if we don't like the way our life is going and if we are ready for success then we must change ourselves first.

Now is the best time to invest in yourself . Especially with the way the economy is today, I think we all realize that there will be  no "high paying jobs"  in the very near future.  I also don't see alot of  job security.  Now  is the time for us to stand up and take control and work on building  our business for our families.    Even if you take baby steps, you are working on your dreams.  Remember, the turtle won the race.

My challenge for  you:
Find out what the successful people are readying and read those books!   (see the list recommended books below).   Learn from success, observe everything that 's going on.  Life is a classroom.

Learning is the beginning of wealth and health.  Look at a successful person's library.  What do you think it screams?  Here is a library of a serious student.  Why?  Because leaders are students.

Take charge of you. Be self-educated.  If you search, you will find.  But in order to find, you must search.

Make the commitment to work on personal growth by reading one book a month so you can grow and build a successful business that will pay you for the rest of your career.

Starting  today, we  have a website where  you you can view the recommended books that the successful people are reading.  (see below)  Please book mark the site below.  We will be updating our site frequently.     Remember..You cannot invest money in any better way than on your own personal growth and professional education.

I encourage each and everyone of you to make a decision to take the time to spend 20-30 minutes a day reading one of our recommended books.   If you feel you don't have time to read a book then make it a point to always carry a book with you.  While your standing at the post office line, while your standing in line at the grocery store.  Grab a book and read anywhere!     When you're doing errands, pop in a CD or audio book and feed your mind.   Turn your car into a classroom.

Life is too risky just to take a casual glance at the fundamentals of personal development, of goal setting and many other subjects necessary for your success and leadership.  Absorb these ideas and make them yours.

Remember....Don't ask for a better wind, instead, build a better sail. (Or in this case better books or audios.)  Devour them.  Set your sails.  Do not let any one person or single event or series of events blow you off course.  You choose to set your own sail.  No one else has the power  to do that.  Janis

The Daffodil Principle

Several times my daughter had telephoned to say, "Mother, you must to see the daffodils before they are over."  I wanted to go, but it was a two-hour drive from Laguna to Lake Arrowhead "I will come next Tuesday", I promised a little reluctantly on her third call.

Next Tuesday dawned cold and rainy. Still, I had promised, and reluctantly I drove there. When I finally walked into Carolyn's house I was welcomed by the joyful sounds of happy children. I delightedly hugged and greeted my grandchildren.

"Forget the daffodils, Carolyn! The road is invisible in these clouds and fog, and there is nothing in the world except you and these children that I want to see badly enough to drive another inch!"

My daughter smiled calmly and said, "We drive in this all the time, Mother."   "Well, you won't get me back on the road until it clears, and then I'm heading for home!" I assured her.
"But first we're going to see the daffodils. It's just a few blocks," Carolyn said. "I'll drive. I'm used to this."

"Carolyn," I said sternly, "Please turn around." "It's all right, Mother, I promise. You will never forgive yourself if you miss this experience."

After about twenty minutes, we turned onto a small gravel road and I saw a small church. On the far side of the church, I saw a hand lettered sign with an arrow that read, " Daffodil Garden."  We got out of the car, each took a child's hand, and I followed Carolyn down the path. Then, as we turned a corner, I looked up and gasped. Before me lay the most glorious sight.
t looked as though someone had taken a great vat of gold and poured it over the mountain peak and its surrounding slopes. The flowers were planted in majestic, swirling patterns, great ribbons and swaths of deep orange, creamy white, lemon yellow, salmon pink, and saffron and  butter yellow. Each different-colored variety was planted in large groups so that it swirled and flowed like its own river with its own unique hue. There were five acres of flowers.

"Who did this?" I asked Carolyn.  "Just one woman," Carolyn answered. "She lives on the property. That's her home." Carolyn pointed to a well-kept A-frame house, small and modestly sitting in the midst of all that glory. We walked up to the house.

On the patio, we saw a poster. "Answers to the Questions I Know You Are Asking", was the headline. The first answer was a simple one. "50,000 bulbs," it read. The second answer was, "One at a time, by one woman Two hands, two feet, and one brain." The third answer was, "Began in 1958"

For me, that moment was a life-changing experience. I thought of this woman whom I had never met, who, more than forty years before, had begun, one bulb at a time, to bring her vision of beauty and joy to an obscure mountaintop. Planting one bulb at a time, year after year, this unknown woman had forever changed the world in which she lived. One day at a time, she had created something of extraordinary magnificence, beauty, and inspiration. The principle her daffodil garden taught is one of the greatest principles of celebration.
That is, learning to move toward our goals and desires one step at a time--often just one baby-step at time--and learning to love the doing, learning to use the accumulation of time. When we multiply tiny pieces of time with small increments of daily effort, we too will find we can accomplish magnificent things. We can change the world ...

"It makes me sad in a way," I admitted to Carolyn. "What might I have accomplished if I had thought of a wonderful goal thirty-five or forty years ago and had worked away at it 'one bulb at a time' through all those years? Just think what I might have been able to achieve!"

My daughter summed up the message of the day in her usual direct way. "Start tomorrow," she said.

She was right. It's so pointless to think of the lost hours of yesterdays. The way to make learning a lesson of celebration instead of a cause for regret is to only ask, "How can I put this to use today?"

Use the Daffodil Principle. Stop waiting.....
Until your car or home is paid off
Until you get a new car or home
Until your kids leave the house
Until you go back to school
Until you finish school
Until you clean the house
Until you organize the garage
Until you clean off your desk
Until you lose 10 lbs.
Until you gain 10 lbs.
Until you get married
Until you get a divorce
Until you have kids
Until the kids go to school
Until you retire
Until summer
Until spring
Until winter
Until fall
Until you die...

There is no better time than right now to be happy.
Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
So work like you don't need money.
Love like you've never been hurt, and, Dance like no one's watching.

If you want to brighten someone's day, pass this on to someone special.
I just did!

Wishing you a beautiful, daffodil day!

Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

Stay excited about your business

By Pamela Sahagun

Maybe you have had this feeling before. You just signed up to start your own business. Its a great feeling you are now your own boss. You've just had your business cards printed up and your representative kit has just arrived. You are feeling pretty good. Great, now is one of the most important moments in your new business. This stage is often the determining moment for the success of your business. Get to work while you have that motivation going inside of you. Don't let the excitement have a chance to cool down. Start talking to people right away about your new business. Many women try to wait till they know everything about how their business works before they share it. Well teaching and sharing are the best ways to learn something. Yes of course you want to eventually learn everything about your business but really this businesses sells it's self with just even a glance at the beautiful baskets. If you are asked a question that you don't know the answer to don't be afraid to say, "I don't know the answer to that question, but I will find out for you." This way you are able to stay pumped up about your new business which is something you have to be able to do. Excitement is contagious and you want to make sure everyone catches your excitement.
